Free UGLiis

Any business, community organisation, association, government body or local government can list in the UGLii Find system. A current ABN is required.

Once the registration is complete, the listing remains in the directory system for as long as the ABN is active.

A Registered business can create a unique geographic listing (UGLii), which is a dot on the interactive map representing its place of business. If a business has more than one place of business it can create an UGLii for each place of business.

Each UGLii may use up to 250 characters (about 25 words) of keywords by which users can discover the UGLii.

Registration details, contact details, UGLii keywords and the location of the UGLii are all controlled by the business. It can login and change them at any time at no charge. It can’t change its ABN.

UGLii Link

An UGLii Link is a link to a business’ website from an UGLii (dot) on the map. Searchers are taken to the website by clicking on the UGLii.

UGLii Links can be purchased as a 1-year subscription using a credit card online.

The UGLii Link also allows the business to install an interactive map on its website. This is a handy feature for visitors that have come to the website other than through the UGLii Find system such as via a search engine or by knowing the business’s domain name.

A purchase of an UGLii Link increases the number of characters for keywords from 250 to 5000. This allows a business listing to be more specific in use of keywords – which means greater discoverability for their business.

UGLii Links are easily identifiable on the map as the UGLii changes from the basic gray or black to bright blue. The size of the UGLii also increases slightly to give it more prominence. The business listing in the results table also changes to blue.Businesses with UGLii Links are listed first in alphabetical order, followed by businesses with verified and up-to-date information, and lastly by businesses that have not updated their information.

UGLii Find Credentialing (example - Brand Reseller Credentialing)

UGLii Find features a unique patented facility called third party credentialing. As the name suggests this facility allows any entity that has registered in UGLii Find to buy the facility to credential third party UGLiis. A good example of this is brand reseller credentialing where a brand owner buys the right to credential the UGLiis of all businesses in the economy that sell its products. The brand can show all credentialed businesses through a presentation of the UGLii Find system presented on its own website branded as its facility. Those credentialed businesses can also be discovered by any searcher entering any of the many UGLii Find partner or affiliate websites in Australia and using the brand as a keyword.

Of course a single UGLii representing a hardware store might be credentialed hundreds or even thousands of times by brands that it sells.
